Starry Night is a piece of star mapping and ephemeris software made in Canada by Imaginova. It allows you to enter your location and a time, and will then display what the sky should look like from that place at that time.
Because of its Canadian pedigree, all of the stars and constellations use the american conventions for their names, but that shouldn't be much of a problem for any keen European amateur astronomer as the names are held in text files which you can easily edit.
